If you have ever scheduled an In-Home Sales consultation with one of the larger companies  that does one or two day bath installs, cabinet refacing, windows, siding or gutters then you have probably experienced a very frustrating process.

They probably spent 2 hours telling you everything about the Company only to finally give you a highly inflated price called at the end that was way out of your budget. Following that they explain that there is a promotion running that will discount the project substantially. This is called price conditioning and is the art of  making you feel as though you are getting a great deal when in all reality the original price was highly inflated.

Many companies that you encounter will send commission only sales reps to your home with the goal of making as much profit as possible off of your job, sometimes even 3-4 thousand dollars over their already exorbitant prices, and pressure you into signing an agreement while they are there so you can take advantage of “the lowest price possible”
